Why games workshop needs to release Battlefleet gothic

I want to talk about battle fleet gothic, why? Because warcradle are releasing a second dystopian wars starter set. Dystopian wars is a naval war game based in alternate timeline. The starter set Sturginium skies is up for pre order and includes a lot of miniatures almost 40 for £95, cheaper from other stores. With the usual high quality sculpts Warcradle studios produces.

This is the second starter set for dystopian wars, the first and is still available hunt for prometheus is just as good. WIth the two massive fleets to get you started. As well with all the dice and everything else.

If we step away from warcradle, and look at mantic. They have their Armada game, another naval tabletop game. This had the taster set out for a limited time. Two of games workshops competition, are having success in the field of naval warfare.

Finally Warlord games more historical based black seas.

It is the right time for games workshop to rerelease battefleet gothic. The games of this scale are usually alot of fun, proving quite successful from lesser known companies. Games workshop being a far more well known brand, should be able to sell a lot more. The factions are more recognisable and can fit better in narrative campaigns.

I love the dystopian age, models, lore, and games. Being a warrior nation fan my faction is not represented in dystopian wars. I fully understand why as they would not really work on a global scale. Yet if I go to my warhammer 40,000 army, I can build a campaign using 40k, kill team, and aeronautica imperialis. I can do with all the armies I collect. Tyranids are the only faction missing right now, yet they can still work in Aeronautica.

Games workshop has a massive amount they can choose from for battlefleet gothic. When it comes to vehicles, that word seems a bit small while talking about the battle barges, and other craft.

Finally the games, the battle fleet gothic armada games have been pretty well recieved by the fan base. So there is a market for a table top version.

Finally the old metal battle fleet gothic models looked fantastic, incredibly well detailed. They were metal and should not look as good as they did. Given the upgrade of quality games workshop plastic has become. Battle fleet gothic should produce some of the best looking models ever made.

To summerise, with Mantic, and Warcradle both seeing success with their universes naval combat it could be time for games workshop to re-do their own version in the 40k universe.
