Warhammer The Old World Lore Teclis

While I wait impatiently for warhammer the old world to finally drop. I thought this would be a good time to talk about some of the characters that made an impact, or just present at the time. Two I will becovering are Archeon and Malus Dark Blade, seeing as the both have a lot of history. Malus Dark Blade has six novels and three graphic novels. (I am missing two graphic novels). They are going to take me a while. Yet one character of renown, I will be talking about today is Teclis. Now if you played chaosbane, you should it is a lot of fun. You will know that Teclis was instrumental in the coronation of Magnus the Pious, who in turned reunited the Empire under his banner and thus ended the time of the three emperors with finality.

Also Teclis has a twin Tyrion. If you collect Chaos or are thinking of doing so there is twisted mirroring of these two high elves. Tyrion is a great strategist, warrior, nd physically strong. Teclis is non of those. Yet he is powerful with magic. With in the realms of Choas, in particualr tzeentch, there is the curseling. This is another pair of twins, one strong, great warrior and brilliant strategist. The brother, again non of these but a powerful mage. Instead of working with his stronger brother like Teclis and tyrion. The curseling wiped his brothers mind and made he little more than a puppet.

As I said before, Teclis is not physically strong. He is in fact very weak, and needs to imbibe magic potions he created just to sustain himself. Magic wise he is the greatest living mage, focusing on the living part there. Teclis is said to be only peer of Nagash himself. Hence the living part.

His frailties stem from his cursed bloodline, being a direct descendant of aenarion. If it was not for his gift of potion brewing and magic, teclis would never have survived to maturity.

As I said Teclis is a fundamental character of warhammer the old world. Especially in the empire, it was this high elf that helped the imperial wizards control the raging tempests oof magic from the realm of chaos. It was under his instruction that the Magical colleges were created.

It was at the end of the last war against chaos that teclis aided magnus the pious in finally pushing back the tide of chaos. With how tempting the fell powers of chaos can be. The Empire was lucky that Teclis has dominated his life with learning and thwarted the the evil chaos gods. It would have been easy for Tclis to turn and worship, the malignant entities and succumbed to every whim an elf could want.
