With almost every faction now having or announced combat patrol box. All except chaos daemons, heretic astartes and imperial guard. I thought now would be a good time to list my five personal favourites. There is no real objective point. Not based on value for money or model counts. I will be showing both of these anyway just for some pretence at objectivity anyway. These are my personal favourite based on how cool or functional they are in their given faction.

Number five is the Tyranid one, I will admit the number of termagants is a slight turn off and variety would have most definitely improved it. But with a hive tyrant, which can be made into the tall flying variant; giving this b ox an outstanding centrepiece for your army and will look good for any beginner army. The Tyranid box also boasts one of the biggest model counts at 43, this obviously includes the ripper swarms. It is a really good box for beginners, and those looking to restart a creepy buggy army.

4, is the tau box, again another great box with an amazing centrepiece with ghost keel model and two hq choices with an ethereal and a cadre fireblade. This gives you the option of doing a farsight conclave force having to buy another HQ choice. A 23 model count without. Not only a great starting box, with it including stealth suits and fire warriors it means multiple buys can quickly build a tau force and still save money.

Number 3 is drukhari, two vehicles a raider and a ravager. I honestly don't think I need to say anything more, but I can and I will ten kabalite warriors and five incubi. It is another great starting box with so much packed into it. With a raider being a transport this means multiple buys is great too. 18 models
it is well worth it for anyone doing a drukhari or ynarri force.

Number 2 is the blood angel on, not the best value space marine box. The blood angel box is the best and most versatile. With five intercessors and 5 infiltrators. Giving you two troop choices and an elite if you are going to use the full fox and make them blood angels. The intercessors can become death company. The Primaris impulsar and aggressors make it great for multiple buys too. The hq choice of being a librarian means it can be used for almost any chapter. a 15 model count is a better saving if you are not doing blood angels, without the upgrade kits it is till of great value.
Number 1, goes to the aeldari box, this to me is an amazing box. six wind runners and one of my favourite models of all time the wraith lord. The guardians also have the option to be storm guardians, which means loads of pieces for kitbashing. Two boxes will give you 12 windrunners and the extra bits means a kitbashed autarch on windrunner. There is also a farseer. The aeldari box is a great starter box with 18 models, a wraith lord as your centrepiece. With the number of heavy weapons also makes it very versatile and fast. Multiple buys, is also good, 19 models . I really love this box. It is why restarted my aeldari army.
