THE TRUTH ABOUT PURPLE ORKS

rollforwound

A meme I have wanted to address for a while is the purple ork. The purple ork is invisible because you have never seen a purple ork. Circular logic, but this is ork we are talking about here. The thing is Orks can’t know this to be true. The ork psychic power of belief, is a bit inaccurate. It is not really belief that makes it true, but the fact the orks as whole knows it to be true. Back to circular logic again, an Ork mek know how to create a stompa, because he knows he knows how to make a stompa. That statement has not been picked up for bad grammar. So when it comes to orks and how colour works, they need to see it work a form off observational bias if you will.

Green makes you strong and tough, the greener you are the stronger and tougher you are. Whats the most common colour the orks fight against? Green with other orks, so if an ork cannot defeat another ork, they are usually a darker shade of green. If we look externally, that could confirm this bias with humans. Which regiment is considered the toughest? Catachan, who wear a lot of green. This further backed up with the Armageddon, where you have the steel legion and the Armageddon ork hunters, the regiment considered toughest. The ork hunters, however there is a lot of different reasons for this. To the orks it is because they wear green. The two space marine chapters that predominately use weapons that can actually destroy ork spores and be more efficient at ridding a planet of orks. Salamanders and Dark Angels. Both green.

Yellow means you are wealthy. Yellow is a sign of austerity and wealth within ork culture. This is the easiest to explain, gold is yellow. It is the yellow metal, that in heraldry yellow is used to represent gold. So, the fact yellow means wealth is backed up everywhere on human planets.

Red ones go faster. Red the fastest colour to orks, also the fastest colour in the visible spectrum too. So yes red does in fact go faster than the other colours. I doubt an ork would worry to much about the physics about it, and more it just happens to be true. Anything red is the fastest of its kind. Such as the Aeldari craftworld Saim hann being made up of wild riders of jet bikes, and of course the blood angels who use a lot of jump pack, and turbo boost their tanks. So the orks literally see the fastest tin boys and da pointy ears are red. Verifying the fact that yes the red ones do in fact go faster.

Blue is lucky. Blue is lucky to the orks. Which chapter had the best plot armour? Ultramarines. It kind of goes without saying really. To dig a little further, we can also include the win of the crimson fists on rynns world. So after the near annihilation of the chapter, the few remaining space marines held out against the waagh. There is no way the crimson fists should have survived that invasion even before the accident. They did and nearly wiped out the waagh of the arch arsonist. Being an ork and seeing this victory, the first thing that would come to mind is they are blue. Blue is lucky and the arch arsonist didn’t stand a chance.

Now lets look at purple, the reason this does not work is the soul drinkers. Where they fought Orks on the planet Vanqualis. I hope I’ve made it clear for an ork to believe it to be true, it applies to those they are fighting too. So, if purple makes an Ork invisible, any enemy of the orks that is also purple. Would in fact be invisible to the orks. So the orks fighting a purple space marine chapter, this means orks can in fact see purple and purple orks are not stealthy just purple.
