The 5 Best Walkers

Walkers are quintessntial to all dark dystopian science fiction. Whether it is the At st's of star wars, the maurader suits of star ship troopers, or metal gears of well the metal gear series. There is somethhing about bi pedal killing machines that walk the battlefield, is just so damn cool. No one does it better than games workshop's warhammer 40,000 universe. There is some fantastic looking model walkers, so here is my top five walkers.

number 5

The grey knight dreadknight, the baby carrier. The dreadknight does get a lot of stick by the

way it looks, but I think it looks really cool. It's a beast of a model being the biggest model on this list. The dreadknight has an insane loadout. Daemon great hammer, or a sword that is larger than most infantry models. Of course the dreadknight can just punch it enemies to death with strength 12. You have a choice of heavy weapons and you can take two. The gatling psilencer for 12 strength hits, just beacuase that infantry squad that just annoying. Heavy incinarotor to burn the daemons, and finally the psycannon because you need 6 strength 8 shots. If that isn't enough to convince you. The dreadknight is also a psyker, and can be hq choice. So you can take 4.

number 4

The paragon warsuit, one of the walkers for your sisters of battle, or adepta soritas (if you prefer) army.

A decent selection of weapons, ranged you have multi melta, heavy bolters, or heavy flamers as your main. Secondary storm bolters or grenade launchers. Anti infantry or anti tank. Just in case the foe decides they wish to get up close and personal. There's a power sword or mace, there is enough choice to make a wide selection weapon combinations. Anti tank, anti infantry or a mixture of both as a jack of all trades. The paragon warsuit also looks awesome in their squadron of three. The high lord of terra Morran Vahl also marches in to the warzone in her own one.

Number 3

The warglaive, the only imperial knight on this list. No weapon selection except meltagun or

heavy stubber. It makes up for this short fall with a huge chainsaw. Though not as strong as the dreadknight, with a strength 10 strike, the thermal spear makes up for it with 2 strength 9 shots and d6 damage, unless they are at half range then it's d6+2. A decent addition as a lord of war auxilary with three in a unit. The walker is an armiger and there is the helverin option. My preference is always close combat, the warglaive wins.

Number 2

The astra militarum or imperial guard sentinel. They look cool, with a very dystopian feel. More than the walkers previously mentioned. The sentinel has only the one close combat weapon a chainsaw. It's ranged is where the sentinel shines. With a vast amount of guns. Five options in total, multi laser, autocannon, missile launcher, plasma cannon, and las cannon. There is a sentinel for every occasion, with more armour and scout options. Wonderful looking modes even the new one coming soon looks cool and keeps the aesthetic.

Number 1

The Aeldari wraithlord, not only my favourite walker (even if it has a monster keyword). It is my favourite gams workshop model of all time. If you think the sentinel has options, it is nothing compared to the wraithlord. Starcannon, bright lance, shuriken cannon, missile launcher, and pulse laser. You can have two of those, for smaller arms shuriken catapult and flamer. That is your ranged choices. Close combat punching is an option again along with a great big sword, the ghost glaive for 4 strength 9 hits at d3 +3 damage. The wraithlord is the best looking model, it is sleek and tall. A close combat beast with the ability to be a walking weapon platform.
