Save £100 on Necrons For Warhammer 40,000

So when making these warhammer 40,00 on a budget videos, I try to beat combat patrol boxes price to start your army with. There are some factions that their cmbat patrol box is just such good value. It is impossible, one of these is the necrons. Their combat patrol box is absolutely great value. I have found a way to get a great necron army for not that much more. It is a bit of work, but you could potentially save over a £100.

First you get the necron combat patrol box, it is £90. Quick recap on it the boxes contents.

You have a Necron overlord, 10 immortals, which can be made into deathmarks, 3 tomblades, and a nightscythe or can also be a doomscythe. Altogether a value of £142.50. So you are getting the immortals for free potentially. Add to this the warhammer 40,000 elite starter set. The elite box is £65 and in this you get another overlord but a bigger one, 10 necron warriors with scarabs, and 3 skorpekh destroyers. The value of the necrons alone comes to £82. Of course you get the space marines too.

So the total you have spent is £155, the value of your army is £224.50, saving you £69.50. If you split the elite box with a friend, and spend only £32.50 on the box, you could save £102, by paying out a total of £122.50. If you didn't, the space marine contents and values are, primaris captain £24, outriders £37.50, and assault intercessors £17.50. A total value of £79.

Best case scenario you sell them for their individual value, you would have paid out £76 for your necron army. Even getting some money back from your combat patrol.

Going by ebay prices, outriders are going for £20, assault intercessors £12, primaris captain £10 that's £42. Having you spend a total of £113, thus saving you £111.50. Bargain.

So you are getting a pretty fun to build and paint necron army. Which also has a ton of variety. 8 different unit types, and not having to repeat the same unit twice.
