There are two new boarding patrols, we have a tyranids and chaos space marines both are £75 and both are pretty good for brand new players. Older players not so much, as they would have most of both already.

Lets start with Tyranids
Broodlord £26
8 Genestealer brood £22.50
6 Tyranids Warriors £70
Total value: £118.50 a saving of £43.50.
Most of the value goes in the Tyranid warriors. The brood lord is a great model and I prefer it to the Patriarch. The brood lord is a simple conversion into a deathleaper to. Using the scything talons from the tyranid warrior sprues. Means buying two adds a single different unit. Great addition to the combat patrol box. For a quick and simple beginner force. Giving you A hive tyrant/swarm lord, Broodlord, 9 warriors, 8 genestealers, 3 ripper swarms, and 36 termagaunts.

Chaos Space Marines
Abaddon the despoiler: £40
20 Cultists: £55
The kill team legionnaires: £40
Total value: £135 a saving of £60. It looks like a great deal, except a second box drops the saving by £40 making any second box only a £20 saving. Also more cultists, would it hurt games workshop, to make a chaos space marine starter boxes just chaos space marines. We have had two out of six. The kill team legionnaires come with an extra sprue, which is really cool. No good for more than one purchase but great compliment to the combat patrol box too. Giving you Abaddon, twenty cultists, twenty traitor marines, a havoc squad, and a helbrute.
They both are good for beginners, veterans not so much. The tyranid one is the better one in my opinion. It is better for multiple purchases and unlike there is a lot of chaff units. Something we are seeing with a lot of the traitor marine boxes. Poxwalkers in the death guard combat patrol, Tzangors in the Thousand sons Combat patrol, and Jakhals that will be in the world eater combat patrol.
