MONEY SAVING TIPS GAMES WORKSHOP DOESN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW

When I started looking at ways of saving money for my warhammer armies, I've noticed games workshop can do things that can surprise you. The old start collecting daemon of tzeentch box having secret models, making a full army from one horus heresy tactical marine box, or enough spare parts to create more powerful units from cheaper models.

Games workshop can also make changes that makes boxes more financially cost effective, for example the armiger box. The previous price rise took it from £45 to £52.50, what makes it cost effective is it went from being just either Helverins or warglaives. The box now contains enough bits to make both. So what makes this cost effective? Well, with the old boxes you would have to buy 4 boxes to have two complete squadrons but it would leave you two models extra. One of each, the new boxes means you can buy three boxes and that gives you two full squads of both helverins and warglaives. Saving you £37.50 and having no left ther models and for imperial knights points effective too.

The black templar combat patrol box. The box conttents tells you it has one marshal, one crusader squad, one intercessor squad, and an impulsar. The black templar upgrade sprue as well. That sprue is what helps you save a bit more money instead of the £18 that half an interessor box you would have saved. You could save a little bit more and make them assault intercessors. Plus the assault intercessrs look more thematic with the chained weapons. Only joking, there is enough bits on the sprue to turn the intercessors into sword brethren. That is where the big saving comes from.

The aeldari, or more accurately the harlequins. I wanted to see if I could save money by doing the combat patrol box but cheaper. Youcan't don't even try. However if you get the voidreaver and troupe box, there is enough bits to make a solitaire for your harlequin army, saving you £17.

Orks is orks, right. So instead of spending £30 on ork boys. Ork boys come in boxes of 10. Go over to the age sigmar page and get a box of savage orruks for £35, and give these orruks shootas and choppas. Did I mention the savage orruk boxhas 20 models saving you £25.

Also if you convert a box of ardboys into nobz, you'll save yourself £27.

The dark angels raven wing bikes for £30, nets you a squad of space marines bikes and the dark angels vehicle upgrade sprue saving you £5.50. It's not much I know sorry, would it help if I mentioned you would have enough bits to convert a land speeder to an talon master. It also means you can make a ravenwing force for £89, a bound less than a combat patrol box. If you get a landspeeder the ravenwing bike squad and the ravenwing command squad.
