Models that need to go from forge world to games workshop

While I was looking through the forge world website, a thought struck me. Why are some of these models not on the games workshop site? I am not talking about the really big models, or even the more unique characters such as the Primarchs. I am talking about vehicle and infantry units that would be better placed in the games workshop site. There are two separate categories for this I believe. Unit type, and faction. Obviously, certain models can be both.

First the factions, Horus heresy has become very popular In the Warhammer community. With one of the best value boxes, to the money saving space marine tactical boxes. There remains so many factions that remain mostly on forge world. The solar auxilia being the main faction that seems to remain fully forge world. The kill team navy breachers is the closest they have on the games workshop site. Starting small would be best with the command squad and infantry squads would get more people to play this force.

Next is the adeptus custodes, they have 5 units not including named characters on the games workshop website, they do not have a unique shield captain model. Unless you want a named character or blade champion, you are going to have to break up a squad box. The biggest issue all the uniquely custodes vehicles are on the forge world website, the only faction to have this happen to. The custodes are one of the forces that can be played in 40k and Horus heresy. They need some of these tanks to make the transition to games workshop.

Death Korps of Krieg remains mostly a forge world faction. With just the one plastic box, forge world has many units for the imperial guard regiment. There was a good chance to bring the death riders to plastic, with the rough riders box. The odd part about the death korps of Krieg still remaining on forge world, is their popularity. The death korps is one of most asked factions to be made in plastic. You would think that games workshop would want more money.

The unit type that needs to more utilised by games workshop. Flyers, aircraft in general. There are three factions that remain aircraft less. I will not deny, aircraft are my favourite unit type, they look amazing and a very unique third dimension, that vertical movement cannot achieve. Some of the best ones remain on forge world, and luckily many of them are not so extortionately priced either. Well for forge world at least. The Valkyrie sky talon is £78, the normal Valkyrie is £55, usually when a model goes from resin to plastic the price drop is around 50% like the leviathan dreadnoughts. You have the Hell blade and heldrake prices being £70 and £50 respectively. So pricing is not the issue, it is the resin. The biggest issue I hear about forge world flyers is the warping of the resin. An issue gw plastic does not have. I have built many gw flyers.

These are just some things I would like to see be brough over to games workshop and made in plastic. If just that they reach a bigger audience. If forge world is to remain, it should be kept for the big things, the titans, the greater daemons, and the super heavy tanks. The smaller units and vehicles, that needs to move to games workshop. Where more can be sold and used, by the fan base. Finally it would also be a preventative measure against the recasters too.
