KO_OP's Highly Anticipated Cinematic Narrative Game Will Also Be Playable at This Year’s PAX East
As revealed earlier today, the narrative adventure game Goodbye Volcano High will be featured in this year’s highly-curated Day of the Devs indie showcase during next week’s Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. Created by Montreal-based game development studio KO_OP, the game follows Fang, a dinosaur and budding musician, and their classmates as they near the end of their senior year of high school.
Goodbye Volcano High is a story-driven, choice-based cinematic adventure game about personal growth, acceptance, and the power of community. The emotional, high-stakes teenage narrative adventure will take players on a journey of self-discovery, deciding how to live one’s life to the fullest when you know that your days together are numbered. The story unfolds through branching dialog, bold choices, and original songs – written by in-house composer Dabu and featuring vocalist Brigitte Naggar of Common Holly -- as performed by Fang and Trish’s band Worm Drama
In addition to the Day of the Devs showcase at GDC, Goodbye Volcano High will also be playable at PAX East from Thursday, March 23 through Sunday, March 26th at the Boston Convention and Exposition Center. Attendees will be able to get a hands-on demo of the game at booth #16103.
As announced during Sony’s recent State of Play, Goodbye Volcano High is slated to launch on the PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and Steam on June 15th of this year, and it can currently be wishlisted. For more information on Goodbye Volcano High, please visit https://www.goodbyevolcanohigh.com/.
