Straight away the first thing we see, the different coloured lanterns led by the green lantern hal Jordan. On the planet ryut in sector 666, which is the planet that prophesised the blackest night and Abin sur starting using a ship to fly. Each spouting their relative oath. We also see that the blue lantern of hope can ease the hunger and greed of the orange lantern. The lanterns are meeting up with two guardians. Then we move to the war on earth being led by the flash. He is alone fighting innumerable dead, nekron and the black hand. It is not looking good. Until wally west shows up, with the justice league and teen titans.

The atom tries to stop damage from taking a black lantern ring only to be stopped by his dead wife. Mera blasts jean loring. Jean’s head blows apart, this doesn’t slow her down. Grabbing Mera and the atom and shrinking down to enter a black lantern ring. The heroes of the dc universe now go balls out, the no kill rule no longer applies, if it applied with everyone being dead. Superman just incinerating everything in his path etc. Kid flash runs into fray with some good news and bad news. The good news is that dove being around the black lantern is killing them permanently, the bad news donna troy has been bitten and is becoming sick. Dove does seem to be tapping into white lantern power.

The flashes come up with a plan to rescue the guadians of oa, just as they get to the old blue ones they are ambushed by scar. The renegade guardian. Scar is kicking the flashes asses, when the lanterns from all the spectrum drop in and save them. The lanterns combine their powers to kill scar, then go to the black lantern central battery to destroy it with their combined colours. A single black lantern ring comes flying out. Straight to the skull of batman, creating black lantern batman. This automatically tethers everyone emotionally to the black lantern and everyone gets a black lantern ring. Once the rings have been delivered, nekron destroys batman stating hes done his job and can now rest. The issue ends with the justice league and teen titans wearing black lantern rings.

Part 6

The lanterns and the remaining heroes are forced to fight their friends. There is also two black lantern rings are searching for hal joirdan and barry allen the flash. The flash pulls out of massive gambit and asks hal to throw him a line. So he and hal can try to out run the rings, to the pairs surprise they achieve this feat. Hal is worried that whether they or their friends are going to die. The flash doesn’t know the answer. We go back inside the black lantern ring with the atom, mera, and black lantern jean. These three are unaware that a fourth has also joined them. Dead man and he possesses jean to tell the heoes he can hear the dead rising and that many more are coming to earth. Mera disables the black lantern then the pair of alive heroes escape. The two reappear out of wonder womans black lantern ring.

Knowing they are overwhelmed, ganthet requests help from all the members of the other lanterns. The indigo tribe member tells him it would take too long. The guardian uses the old safety trick of making a green lantern ring duplicate itself. Then shows the other rings have the same ability. The ring bearers are less than pleased when they see the new rings fly off. The blue ring of hope goes straight to the flash barry allen, the orange ring of avarice goes to lex Luthor, red ring of rage goes to mera, the indigo ring of compassion goes to the atom, ganthet takes the extra green lantern ring, and the yellow ring of fear goes to the batman villain the scarecrow. The violet ring of love, well that severs wonder womans connection to the black lantern and she becomes a star sapphire.

The issue finishes with a picture of all these new lanterns. That is it for this week last episode next week.
